Everyone starts small.
Starting Small shares the stories of successful entrepreneurs who, just like you, started small: in a parents' basement, a kitchen, or a bedroom. Through founder interviews, online education, and live events, we show that there are no limits to what you can achieve with perseverance, curiosity, and fearless execution.
It started with one email.
A high-school senior asks a question
Cameron Nagle, then a senior in high school, emails Chuck Surack, founder of the $1 billion+ music retailer Sweetwater, to ask how people move up to the executive team and how relationships work inside the company.
Starting Small launches
Cameron follows back up with Chuck, including a screenshot of that first email. Chuck agrees to be the very first guest, giving the podcast the credibility it needed to book the founders who followed.

The show goes on to feature the founders of Reebok, The North Face, Nextdoor, Freshly, Kodiak Cakes and many more, starting every conversation at the beginning of the entrepreneur's life.

Believing that everyone has a story to tell, he set out to hear directly from the founders of the brands we use every day, beginning every interview with the entrepreneur's upbringing, because even the most successful started small.
Their founders all started small.
